ADS reaches a new high of $297.40, and direct care minutes also up

Revenue

October saw a notable increase in revenue, with the department’s AN-ACC indexation boosting the Average Daily Subsidy (ADS) by $25.50 to $297.40 per day. MMM5 facilities recorded an impressive $38.05 increase, reaching $314.27.

Occupancy

Occupancy remained stable across October, increasing slightly to 88.95%. New permanent admissions fell by -17.25%, while respite bed usage dropped by -15.13%.

Workforce management

October marked the first full month under the new care minute requirements. The sector achieved an average of 217.77 minutes of total direct care time per resident per day, with Registered Nurse (RN) minutes reaching 44.26 minutes.
