With ongoing consultation on the regulatory model for aged care, the Department of Health and Aged Care conducted a webinar on the design of the new model in May. As we progress towards the go-live date in July 2024, we are putting together a summary of the key concepts and insights from the consultation and documents.
Within 18 months of 1st October, every provider will receive an assessment, and this will reoccur every 3 years or at random based on risk. The purpose of these assessments is to ensure accuracy of care minute reporting in Quarterly Financial Reports and 24/7 RN time in line with the 24/7 RN responsibility.
With the focus on care minutes becoming mandatory on the 1st October it’s easy to forget that there are also changes to RVUs also going live that day.
