Fun conversations! Are you ready?
September 24, 2020 | Workforce Management
Joyce Boon, Manager at Mirus Australia, Workforce recently joined the BeNext panel to discuss difficult conversations. “We are doing all we can to be effective leaders – this includes understanding how difficult conversations can impact ourselves, our team, the older adults we support and their families,” says Samantha Bowen, Principal Advisor Next Gen
“One way to handle difficult conversations is to position them as a positive opportunity for improvement. Avoid focusing on the negative. Use this as a moment to listen and a chance to learn how you can create something that is different from everyone’s initial expectations.“ – Joyce Boon
It was another fantastic panel from the LASA Next Gen initiative and don’t miss the next one coming up!
We recently asked Joyce: How do you ensure you continue to grow and develop as a leader?
“Continuous learning is my motto. We’ll never stop learning no matter how experienced someone deems you to be and in order to grow, leaders should keep the humble mindset that there are things we still can learn and grow, whether it’s from formal trainings, on the job experience or just observing and learning from others.”
And Joyce is now looking to learn from you! And this is a fantastic opportunity for a person in Perth, WA to learn from a senior and experienced member of the Mirus Australia Team.
You will work with us and a leading aged care business in Perth, WA to lead the implementation of a workforce solution. The role primarily consists of project management activities ensuring a quality delivery of milestones on time and budget.
